The Card Concept...

Hey there, crafty friends!  Stopping in today with a new card fro this week's Card Concept challenge.

I used PTI's Autumn Adornments for this card.  I stamped the first image in Kraft Ink and the second on top, with Canyon Clay and Dark Chocolate.  I used Glossy Accents and a touch of glitter on the little berries.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in Gold Embossing powder.

Thinking of you...

I had fun making today's card.  It's been awhile with the busyness of life, so I have not been in my craft room very much over the last 2 weeks.  So the return of some crafty mojo felt pretty good.

I used several things to make this card.  Here is a list:

1.  Stripes- Diagonal Stripes Stencil from Simon Says
2.  Thinking of you: Sending Happy Thoughts
3.  Ampersand (masked): Christmas 3x4
4.  sending christmas wishes: Holiday Envelope sentiments
5. Tree: Stitched Shapes and Die
6. Lipstick Red Ink from Simon Says
7. Green Apple Ink from Simon
8. Gold Cardstock from SU

oh and black Versafine ink too!  :)  All of the link are lined up at the bottom of this post!

So first, I used the Lipstick Red Simon ink and the Diagonal Stripe Stencil to make the background.  I stamped the sentiments in black ink and then added in the tree and gold foil heart last.

So do you make your own Christmas cards or do you get photo cards printed?  I like to *try* to send Christmas cards but I usually get photo cards printed.  GASP....I know!  :)

Ok, off to put the kids to bed!  Have a great day!

Make it Monday...

Did you see the new Make it Monday video up over on Nichole's blog today?  It is a super simple little way to add partial coloring to a sentiment...or any die, to make your die stand out with some white space.  I hope you enjoy!

Here is the card I made for today...

Oops!

I thought I posted these the other day and didn't!  Here are 2 more cards using this months new PTI release goodies.

This first one uses the new Phrase Play #9...

I cut out one die and then another so I would have the vellum snowflake too.  I popped up the "winter" on foam tape and then heat embossed the "wishes" right below.  I added in some sparkle enamel dots for a little extra detail.

This next card uses the stamps and dies from the new set called Freshly Fallen.

I stamped the dotted line in Fresh Ink and then added in 2 snowflake dies.  I stamped the sentiment in black along the bottom and added in a glossy accent covered heart on the bottom one, to finish it off.

Ticket Thanks...

Hey there! Stopping in today with a card I made using one of the new Simon Says dies.  It's called Thank You Ticket and it is super fun!

IMG_0600

First, I stamped the background using the SSS Wide Stripes Background stamp and some SSS Fog ink.  Then I layered up with a couple AC patterned paper scraps and some gold card stock.  I die cut the thank you out of white Neenah and then stapled on to the card front.  Super simple!

CC Challenge-Burlap Banner...

IMG_0581

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!
Burlap Banner

We have a new sponsor, The Twinery, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Burlap Banner!  A randomly selected participant in the Burlap Banner challenge will receive a fabulous bundle from The Twinery, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I made a fun little card today, using the 5 different colors of twine.  I used a ruler and drew straight pencil lines across the face of the card. Using my Crop-O-Dile, I cut small half circles out at each pencil line on both sides.  I wrapped the twine around the card front and secured it inside with Washi tape.  I added in a leaf die cut and then stamped the sentiment from Papertrey's set called Bountiful Banners.

You can see all of the Twinery's gorgeous twine by clicking HERE.
